Regulatory Monitor

An AI agent that watches your regulators' feeds around the clock and tells you — in plain English — what changed, which of your policies are affected, and what the proposed update should say.

What it does

Staying current with regulatory change is one of the hardest parts of running a compliance function. New SFC circulars, FCA policy statements, SEC releases, and FINRA regulatory notices arrive constantly — and each one may require a policy or procedure update.

The Regulatory Monitor agent automates the triage step. It monitors live RSS and Atom feeds from over 20 regulators globally, reads each new publication in full, assesses its impact against your indexed policy library, and surfaces a prioritised list of required actions. For changes that clearly require a policy update, it drafts the proposed amendment directly in the Policy Drafting app, ready for your review.

Key capabilities

  • Always-on feed monitoring. Checks all configured regulator feeds multiple times per day. New publications are processed within hours of release.
  • Full-document analysis. The agent reads the complete source document — not just the title or abstract — and extracts the specific obligations or changes it introduces.
  • Policy impact mapping. Each new publication is mapped against your existing policies. The agent identifies which policy sections are affected and explains why, with references to both the new rule and the current policy text.
  • Proposed amendments. For straightforward updates, the agent drafts the amended policy section in the Policy Drafting app. The compliance officer reviews and accepts, edits, or rejects the proposal.
  • Relevance filtering. Configure the agent for your firm's specific business activities, product types, and jurisdictions so it suppresses publications that genuinely don't apply.
  • Digest and alerts. Receive a daily or weekly digest of new publications and impact assessments, or configure immediate alerts for high-priority changes (rule changes, enforcement actions, consultation closing dates).

Typical workflow

  1. A regulator publishes a new circular or rule change. The agent picks it up within hours.
  2. The agent reads the full document and identifies the compliance obligations it creates or modifies.
  3. Affected policies in your library are flagged. The impact assessment appears in your dashboard with a plain-English summary: "SFC Circular SFC/CIRC/23/05 introduces new requirements for client order handling under the Code of Conduct. Your Order Handling Policy (Section 4.2) needs to be updated."
  4. For each affected policy, the agent drafts a proposed amendment and opens it in the Policy Drafting app.
  5. The compliance officer reviews the draft, edits as needed, and publishes the updated policy.
  6. The original regulatory publication and the resulting policy change are linked in the audit trail — demonstrating that the firm responded to the regulatory change.

Why this matters

Regulators increasingly examine whether firms have processes to identify and respond to rule changes in a timely way. The Regulatory Monitor provides both the capability and the evidence: every new publication is assessed, every impact is documented, and every resulting policy change is traceable back to the regulatory trigger.
